TD Bank in Olds robbed for second time in less than a year

For the second time in less than a year the TD Bank in Olds was robbed by the same suspect. On Friday January 24th just after 5 o’clock in the evening a masked man with what appeared to be a handgun demanded money from the bank and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. According to eye-witnesses the suspect left the bank and crossed 50th avenue heading west between two buildings.

Olds RCMP announced after midnight Friday that a suspect had been apprehended. Rory Allan Jackson, 46 of Innisfail has been charged with robbery with a pistol, using a mask while committing an indictable offence, along with other charges related to the robbery of the same bank on June 4th this year. Jackson is scheduled to appear in Didsbury court on Jan. 27 for a bail hearing. His court appearance for the charges relating to the June 4 robbery is scheduled for Feb. 24.
